State Water Snapper Fishing Trips

Our state water snapper trips are up to 6 hours long, which usually gives us enough time to fill the fish box.  Because snapper are normally aggressive feeders anytime during the day, morning and afternoon charters are both good options. Although red snapper is our main focus, we sometimes catch red drum, Cobia, triggerfish, king mackerel, sand trout, lane snapper, mangrove snapper, sharks and a few other species.  These trips are subject to Texas state limits, not the more restrictive federal limits.  We are allowed 4 red snapper per angler. Check Texas Parks and Wildlife page for other limits and how to obtain a fishing license.

Payment Options

All major credit cards are accepted.

Fishing Licenses

The State of Texas requires anyone 17 or over to have a valid fishing license.  You can purchase a one day license or a yearly license at Quick Stop or Wal-Mart in Port Isabel.  You can also print your own online through Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Deposit Requirements

A 30 % deposit is required to reserve a day aboard the "Miss Directed" or "Miss Guided".

Cancellation Policy

Notification of 5 days before your scheduled fishing trip is required, in order to avoid the deposit fee. Trips cancelled due to unsafe weather (to be determined by the captain), will not be charged a deposit fee.
